I know how hard that is. I stopped riding for a little bit and I lost the horse of my dreams, which left me heartbroken because we had such a great bond but I chose not to buy her - which worst mistake of my LIFE! I should have bought her when I had the chance. bangs head against table really hard) Anyways... have you tried seeing if you can work at your banr in exchange for lessons or ride time?

All the schools round here are titchy, and the last one I went to I quit also because I used to ride this amazing horse ad she was so good with me, but as soon as one of riding teacher [and head] would come anywhere near her she would start playing up because she was so afraid of him. That really broke my heart. Other than that place, I've been to two others. One beats the horses and treats them unfairly, the other one I can't even remember where it is.
	tryingtofindthewords: 12/04/2007 5:27 PM That's horrible that the places near you treat horses like that. I know places like that around where I live but luckily I'm at a good barn and I work for my riding trainer over the summer for an extra lesson a week. Plus there's just a really friendly and nice attitude there. I'm so sorry about that horse. I can honestly relate because my horse was beaten too before I got her and she was antsy around everyone but me. It was so awful that she was scared. It tore me up but I'm so glad she had me to rely on and someone to care for her.
